Groundswell is Amanda Garrigues' second self-produced CD with David McMahon and released on her own independent label.

This may be one of the best acoustic rock CDs we've received here at BGG to date. It may be short with nine awesome songs with a running time of under a half hour, but we dare to say it's the best half hour you may spend searching for a new favorite artist.

The songs are not multifaceted but the players accompanying this singer/guitarist breathe incredible depth into each track, especially drummer Eric Gardner.

Amanda is not only blessed with a unique vocal talent but with a remarkable songwriting talent. The songs are just so catchy, you can't not love Amanda Garrigues.

It was surprising to see her running with the pack; we catalog her in the genre of Jane Sibbery and the like.

Every aspect of this independent release is professional yet invitingly warm. It must be the artist shining through. Go get her:
